| Amina (Wendellyn)- Director of Zazzua & Certified ATS Fat Chance Belly Dance Instructor at Learn2Bellydance Studio(ATS Sister Studio)
Amina (Wendellyn) director of Zazzua has studied and received certification under Carolina Nerricio within the ATS;American Tribal Style-Fat Chance Belly Dance format (Jan 2010). Wendellyn has also studied West African Dance since 1992 under various women from the countries of Nigeria, Ghana and Liberia. Other dance forms studied include Modern Dance under the direction of Katy Kasch and Ballet from various instructors at the VanCura Ballet Conservatory. Amina was first introduced to dance at the age of 7 in the form of tap dance at the YWCA where she also took gymnastics classes. Amina teaches out of Learn2Bellydance Studio in Chattanooga, TN located at 5950 Shallowford Rd. Amina began studying belly dance under the instruction of Julie Downum of Urban Tribal and Andrea Perkins at Zanzibar Studio in Chattanooga, TN in 2004. She took a Mother/Daughter belly dance class at the invitation of a friend since she was Unable to continue with taking Modern dance classes due to lack of availability of teaching resources for adults at the time. Amina instantly fell in love with the art form and has studied extensively ever since. Amina has expanded her knowledge of the belly dance art form known as Raqs Sharqi under the direction of Mary Gaston of Love Lotus and owner of Learn2Bellydance Studio. These forms include Classical and Modern Oriental, traditional Egyptian and Turkish. Amina has studied under Carolina Nereccio of Fat Chance Belly Dance, Megha of Devyani, Helm, Anasma of World Citizen Dance and Co-Director of New York Theatrical Belly Dance Conference, Mira Betz, Onca O'leary(Fans and Character Development), Tobias Roberson (“Zills” and “Rhythms for Dancers”); Ashara (Modern Tribal Bellydance), Samara Choreographer and New York Raqs Sharqi Artist, Elizabeth Strong (Floor Work), Zoe Jakes(“Pops and Locks”), Jill Parker, Yousry Shariff "Egyptian Dance Master Choreographer", Ariellah, Donna Mejia, Mohammed Shahin Egyptian Choreographer, Ranya Renee Co-director of New York Theatrical Belly Dance Conference, Jeniviva of "Mystical Hips", Natalie Brown, Aszmara of AMMED Award Winning Middle Eastern Dance Company and co-founder/co-director of SaZ Dance Theatre, a multi-cultural woman’s dance company, Roula Said director of Om Laila Bellydance and producer of FunkaBelly, Blanca "Sensual Bellydance", Mahsati Janan (Fan Veils and Layering), Aepril Schaile "American Priestess of the Dark Goddess", Sarah Johansson Locke of Alchemy Dance Theater, Kaeshi Chai of Bellyqueen Dance Theater Lotus Niraja "Modern Urban Egyptian Bellydance" and Princess Farhana. Additional relevant experiences include considerable backstage coordination, organization and productions support for numerous dance shows, theatrical productions, ballets, step show choreography and competitions. Her interests include community projects, voracious reader of fantasy and science fiction works and the pursuit of numerous musical styles. As a lover of music from early elementary school--Amina continues to explore every opportunity to dance to artists such as Hossam Ramzy, Helm, Abdel Hazim, Fares Karam, Phil Thorton, Solace, Jehan, King Sunny Ade, Babatunde Olatunji, Fela Kuti, Prince, James Brown and her newest interest Henry Mancini. Current interest include continuing the development and expansion of Zazzua as a Theatrical Performing Company through ATS, African Dance, Shamanistic Dance, Fusion and acting and to contribute to the building of a strong Multi-cultural Dance community within the Chattanooga and Northern Georgia greater regional area. Other interests include community projects, voracious reader of fantasy and science fiction works and the pursuit of numerous musical styles. | |
| Miracle--Assistant Director of Zazzua

Miracle was introduced to the arts at the age of 13 through her high school music group. Through learning the terminology and meaning behind the music, she knew then that she enjoyed performing in whatever capacity. She’s performed for various events including weddings, funerals, talent shows as well as singing as a background vocalist for local talent. She began acting at age 15 and found this to be her true passion in life. She began writing scripts and performing in many avenues throughout the Southeast. Miracle also has previous experience modeling for charity events as well as a Halloween special on News Channel 9.
Miracle is fairly new to the world of belly dance; however, she began dancing at the age of 17. Over the last decade, her dance experience consisted of other styles of dance including ballroom, Latin, African, Hip Hop, and some modern. She is excited to be a part of Zazzua and continues to use all of her talents in her current position at Learn 2 Belly Dance Studio!!

She also helps her husband, Dj ScubaSteve manage his audio/visual production company, Merchant Productions. Apart from her passion of the arts, Miracle's interests include reading, watching movies, graphic designing, cooking and teaching her children how to cook! | |
| Khalida(Kim)--Assistant Director of Zazzua & Director of Melanthas. Tribal Fusion and Yoga Instructor
Khalida (Kim) began her dance training at the age of 5, taking ballet with the Yvette Dance Studio of the Performing Arts in New Jersey. She added jazz and tap to her repertoire before moving to Tennessee at age eleven. She continued her studies at the Paula Duff School of Dance from ages 11 to 18 under Paula Duff and Amy Card-Lillios. She has performed numerous times in the Nutcracker and Cinderella with the Chattanooga Ballet Company at the Tivoli Theater in Chattanooga, TN. Workshops through Ballet Tennessee and the Princeton Ballet Company were attended regularly to complement her training. After time away to make a family and a career, Khalida fell in love with the art of belly dance under the direction of Jules Downum of Urban Tribal and Andrea Perkins of Dandasha Dance Company at Zanzibar Dance Studio in May of 2006. Khalida has also taken various workshops and trainings with Zoe Jakes, Mira Betz, Rachel Brice, Mardi Love, Onca of the Mesmer Society, Ariellah, Donna Mejia, Heather Stants of Urban Tribal, Princess Farhana, August Hoerr of the Mesmer Society, Tobias Roberson, Lola van Ella, Amberetta, and Lauryn Elise and Stacy Nolan of Mirabai Bellydance. She has plans to expand her knowledge of the art form she loves through further workshop and training opportunities as available.
Kim fell in love with the spirituality and peacefulness of yoga in 2008 as a complement to her bellydance training. She became a Certified Vinyasa Instructor through the Asheville Yoga Center under Stephanie Keach in 2010. She plans to continue her yoga training through AYC in the future. | |
